Cuba fertilizer project is a bidding project purchased by QUIMimport company under Cuba’s Foreign
Trade Ministry. CPTDC has won the bid of 91,739 tons of fertilizer including 2 batches of phosphate
fertilizer and 3 batches of urea. CPTDC’s winning the bid of fertilizer in such huge quantity is the frst time
in Cuba’s fertilizer business history. At the same time, CPTDC is the only company in Cuba which won
the bid of huge quantity at one time.
The project has a highly limited implementation lead time and tasks with diffculties. We have less than
one month from bidding to production and shipment for 10,000 tons of cargoes on a single boat. From
October 2012 to the end of 2014, we have cumulatively shipped 96,000 tons of bulk phosphate fertilizer
and 61,000 tons of urea with 6 batches of ship.
